Since 4 August 2022, Sisal has been part of Flutter Entertainment plc, the world’s largest betting and iGaming operator, with a portfolio of globally recognized brands and listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Since its foundation, Sisal has stood out for its innovation- and responsibility-driven approach. In 1946, it created the first football pools competition, the “Sisal coupon,” which later became Totocalcio, to help fund the reconstruction of stadiums destroyed during the war. In 1948, Sisal launched Totip, a competition dedicated to horse racing, and since 1997 it has managed SuperEnalotto.
With well-established expertise in lottery management, supported by investments in technology and digital capabilities, Sisal has successfully secured international tenders, winning new licenses abroad, including in Turkey and Morocco, and thereby launching an international growth path that began in 2019.
To strengthen its delivery capabilities and support expansion into new markets, Sisal has invested in Digital Hubs in Turkey (Istanbul) and Albania (Tirana), complementing the technology and digital expertise already established in Italy through its Turin Innovation Lab and its hubs in Naples and Palermo.
