Since August 4, 2022, Sisal has been part of Flutter Entertainment plc, the largest betting and iGaming operator in the world, with a portfolio of globally recognized brands and listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Since its founding, Sisal has stood out for its innovation-driven and responsible approach. In 1946, it created the first football betting contest, the “Sisal schedina,” which later became Totocalcio, to contribute to the reconstruction of stadiums destroyed during the war. In 1948, Sisal launched Totip, a competition dedicated to horse racing, and since 1997, it has managed the SuperEnalotto.
With solid experience in managing lotteries, thanks to investments in technology and digital expertise, Sisal has successfully participated in international tenders, securing new concessions abroad (Turkey and Morocco) and thus beginning an international expansion path that started in 2019.
To enhance its delivery and development capabilities in new markets, Sisal has invested in Digital Hubs located in Turkey (Istanbul) and Albania (Tirana), which complement the network of technological and digital expertise already present in Italy, including the Innovation Lab in Turin and the Hubs in Naples and Palermo.
